Congress gave tickets to Bharat Bhushan Ashu from Ludhiana West.
The Congress has announced its candidate for the upcoming by -election in Ludhiana West seat of Punjab Assembly. The Congress has declared Bharat Bhushan Ashu as party candidate for the by -election. The by -election to be held by the Election Commission in Ludhiana West seat has not been announced yet. It is believed that the by -election date may be revealed soon.
Congress released a letter
A letter issued by Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said- “Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the proposal of candidature of Bharat Bhushan Ashu as a party candidate for the upcoming by-election in Ludhiana West seat of Punjab Assembly.” Let us tell you that Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been a cabinet minister in the Punjab government. He has also been an MLA from Ludhiana West Assembly seat.
AAP has given ticket to Sanjeev Arora
The Aam Aadmi Party has already announced its candidate for the by -election to be held in Ludhiana West seat. AAP has fielded Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora from this seat. Sanjeev Arora is an industrialist and has been a Rajya Sabha member since 2022. At the same time, the BJP has appointed former MP and senior party leader Avinash Rai Khanna as co-integral for the Ludhiana West Assembly by-election and former Union Minister Vijay Sampala.
Why is the by -election being held?
In fact, in the month of January, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi passed away from Ludhiana West seat. Gogi died at his house due to accidental firing from a licensed gun. After this, Ludhiana West seat was vacant.
