Lanzarote Alberto Morales and Cadiz Sol López take the title at Masnou

The Waszp 2025 Spanish Championship, held in the waters of the La Masnou Yacht Club, culminated with the victory of Alberto Morales in the absolute category, Antonio Gasperini as Sub-21 champion and Sol López as a women’s champion. For three days of intense competition, a total of 20 vessels played 10 sleeves in varied foiling conditions.

Alberto Morales, a regatist of the Nautical of Arrecife and a native of Lanzarote, became absolute champion after an outstanding performance. In the second position, Antonio Gasperini of the Nautical of Valencia ended, who also took the T-21 champion title. The third place went to Pablo Astiazaran of the Nautical of Barcelona.

In the female category, Sol López del Náutico el Cano and the base foiling ended tenth in the general classification, highlighting as the best female regatist in the championship. In the U19 category, the Basque Adriano Vázquez of the Nautical of Hondarribia occupied the fifth place in the general and rose as the first U-19 classified.

Competition conditions

The championship took place with a test the first day, four tests the second day – marked by strong winds of west – and five sleeves on the last day, where the southern winds ranged between 10 and 15 knots.
