Lakshmi, puzzled by the sudden change, questions Narayan about the ominous transformation. She wonders if the change in colors is a sign of something significant. At that moment, Naradar, a celestial sage, arrives and informs them that the situation in the demon world, Asurlok, has drastically changed. He recounts how Prahlad, once a righteous leader, had led the demons down the path of virtue during Satya Yug, an era of truth and righteousness. However, as the years passed, Mahabali, another demon king, rose to power.
Mahabali, unlike his predecessor, captured the heavens and dethroned Indra, the king of gods. Under Mahabali’s rule, injustice spread, and he began to exploit his power. Naradar interprets the blackened colors as a sign that another war is imminent. Narayan, committed to maintaining the balance of the universe, expresses his determination to prevent any form of injustice. He vows to do whatever it takes to restore peace and equilibrium in the world.
Despite Lakshmi’s insistence that Mahabali is known for his generosity and kindness, Narayan is not convinced. He acknowledges that while Mahabali may help people, his actions are ultimately driven by his own agenda. Sukhracharya, sensing a hidden agenda, warns Mahabali against fulfilling Aditi’s wish. He believes that her request is part of a cunning plan to undermine Mahabali’s rule. Despite this warning, Mahabali, true to his word, refuses to send Aditi away empty-handed. However, instead of granting her request, he places a handful of soil in her lap, symbolizing the only thing left in his power to give.
Enraged by the perceived insult, Aditi curses Mahabali, declaring that her son will be the one to end his life. She leaves the court, deeply hurt and determined to seek justice. Upon returning home, Aditi confides in her husband about the humiliation she faced in Mahabali’s court. She resolves to perform the Satyanarayan Puja, a sacred ritual, and prays to Narayan to be born as her son and put an end to Mahabali’s reign.
