Right behind the pool loungers, of which the actor Patrick Schwarzenegger as an arrogant luxury tourist is closer to every woman who does not make it to the next coconut palm, Hannes Schneider sits in front of a more bulky glass at the hotel bar. The manager of the Four Season Resort on the Thai island of Ko Samui does not even correspond to his fictional TV counterpart: The hotel director in the series is a neurotic-clamped German who secretly writes songs and dreams of a appearance as a singer. The resort manager who sits opposite me is an Austrian from Linz, confident and athletic, who likes to go with his racing bike in the morning before work the 50 kilometer long ring road that leads around the island.
