After winning the toss and bowling first, Delhi Capitles defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by eight wickets on Tuesday in IPL 2025 T20 match with the help of veteran Lokesh Rahul and opener Abhishek Porel after a brilliant performance by the bowlers, led by Mukesh Kumar of Delhi Capitals. ‘Player of Match’ Mukesh took four wickets for 33 runs in four overs, which reduced the LSG team to be reduced to 159 for six wickets despite the half -century innings of Aiden Marks. After this, with the efforts of Rahul and Abhishek, the LSG lost two wickets in 17.5 overs.
Rahul again scored half -century
Rahul became the batsman to complete 5000 runs in the lowest innings in the IPL during a restrained innings of an unbeaten 57 off 42 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes. He reached behind the record of David Warner (135 balls) by reaching this figure in 130 innings. Rahul shared an unbreakable 56 -run partnership with Akshar Patel in a 36 ball with Akshar Patel after shaking 69 runs in 49 balls for the second wicket with Porel. Porel scored 51 runs in 36 balls with the help of five fours and a six, while Delhi captain Akshar hit four sixes and a four during an unbeaten innings of 34 runs in 20 balls. Marakram’s half -century innings waste
Opener Marakram shared an 87 -run partnership in 60 balls for the first wicket with Mitchell Marsh but the team’s middle -order batsmen could not take advantage of it. Marakram hit two fours and three sixes in a 33 -ball innings while Marsh hit a six and three fours in 36 balls. In the last over, Ayush Badoni scored 36 runs in 21 balls with the help of six fours and brought the team’s score to around 160. While chasing the target, Karun Nair hit two fours against Shardul Thakur, while Porel opened his hand by putting the third four of the over. Nair hit the first six of the innings by sending the markam ball to the audience in the fourth over but was bowled on the next ball. He scored 15 runs in nine balls.
Rahul completed 5000 runs in IPL
