The unplanned health problems of the monarch had “made a brief observation in the hospital”. Charles was able to go back home on the same day, but should be “as a precaution and medical advice”. The question then arose: how sick is the king and how is it going for him?
The 76-year-old quickly gave the all-clear himself when he showed himself publicly shortly after the hospital stay-happily waving from the car window. Now it is clear: Charles returns to his royal duties this week. “After a relaxing weekend in Highgrove, the king will be at Windsor Castle today, where a typical working week begins,” wrote Rebecca English, who was always well informed of the “Daily Mail”, on her X-account.
Among other things, there is a meeting with the British Prime Minister Keir Strander and an honor at Windsor Castle. A state visit to Italy will also take place next week. It is also planned that Charles and his wife Queen Camilla will spend their 20th wedding anniversary there. On April 9, 2005, the couple in Windsor said yes.
The king’s cancer was made public in February 2024. What form the 76-year-old suffers from is unclear. The only thing that is certain is that it is not prostate cancer. Charles has been treated on an outpatient basis since his diagnosis.
