A very positive record was recently drawn at the tourist association in Peiting, which had invited to the annual meeting. You also looked ahead of two upcoming anniversaries.
Peiting – The Peiting Court Association was able to pull a positive balance again at its annual general meeting in the Gasthof Dragoner: The number of guest arrivals in 2024 rose to 17,484. Since the bike tourists and long -distance hikers usually only remain one night, the number of overnight stays at 37 629 is relatively constant. The average length of stay per guest was 2.2 days. With a larger bed capacity, the number of overnight stays would be even more able to increase.
The tourist association can currently offer 341 beds. These are divided into six hotels, inns and guest houses with 208 beds, three providers of private rooms with 14 beds and 32 holiday apartments with 119 beds. In 2003 Peiting still had eight hotels, inns and guest houses with 277 beds (decline 69), and eight providers of private rooms with 32 beds (decline 18). Only in the apartments (then 31 with 113 beds) could an increase of six beds be found.
Joy at the Transport Association: Guest numbers in Peiting increase
A jewel in the center of the town is the new apartment “Herzbluat” by Marianne Baab in Azamstrasse, which could be visited after the meeting. With a sense of the old, her husband, master carpenter Markus Baab received the charm with the historical bars in the roof structure and partly visible original masonry. There is still the spirit of previous residents such as the royal hunting assistant Josef Strauß and the forest Ferdinand Eschenlohr.
There are always positive feedback from the users of the motorhome parking spaces because of the ideal location next to the wave outdoor pool in the middle of the village. Managing Director Andrea Deibler appealed to the landlords to keep their offers on the Internet up to date: online bookings have become indispensable. The Verkehrsverein pays the costs for the information and reservation system SECRA. With up to 50 photos and eight links, everyone can present their object here, as Andi Klausmann from the Pfaffenwinkel tourism association emphasized.
In the meantime, the magazine “Landurlaub in the Pfaffenwinkel” with clues to concerts, theaters, exhibitions and customs events in the season is now indispensable. According to Andrea Deibler, the now six deck chairs on the main square and the hiking blocks reprinted in 2024 are gladly accepted. A plus: the Peiting Mobil. It saves long distances through the town to the Schnalz hiking parking lot as the starting point for the “Königludwig-Weg”.
Bike tour on romantic street
The “dahlia summer” has been delighting vacationers and locals alike for 24 years. Most of the a total of 60 square meters in large beds at five locations are there from the start. The dahlias are planted and maintained by the Leinauer nursery, while the building yard ensures regular watering. Chairman Ralf Benning was delighted that the weather played along and the serenade on the idyllic gumps became a fantastic experience.
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.)
Now everyone hopes that “St. Peter will also be good on June 28” when the singers and musicians play. For the anniversary “75 Years of Romantic Straße”, a bike tour from Hohenfurch via Schongau, Peiting, Rottenbuch and Wildsteig to Steingaden will be invited to a bike tour from Hohenfurch. Finally, the anniversary week “50 years of wave outdoor pool Peiting” increases from July 6th to 12th with a reduced admission and large attractions.
