“Nico’s failure hits us very hard. He is a very important part of our team and convinced with constant good performances this season. We hope that he will quickly get fit again and get the maximum support on the way back,” says sports director Sebastian Kehl according to the announcement.

Schlotterbeck was a reliable size of the team this season. The central defender played 23 times in the Bundesliga, twelve times in the Champions League and twice in the DFB Cup.
