Surprise in Munich: Investor Hasan Ismaik could separate from his shares in TSV 1860. Then an ex-international could step onto the scene.
According to the latest statements by investor Hasan Ismaik, President Robert Reisinger has commented on the future of the club for his possible separation from TSV 1860 Munich. In the “Bild” newspaper, he said that the financing should no longer only run through loans. This could take the necessary flexibility to the association.
Instead, Reisinger wishes that several investors with a regional reference together with the club will shape the future – as sponsors and shareholders. A sustainable commitment can be an advantage for all sides-the association, the professional football company and also for the donors-Reisinger explained. He had recently no longer been nominated for a re -election.
Investor Hasan Ismaik had previously made his sales intentions public. In the Bayerischer Rundfunk Blickpunkt Sports, he said: In 1860 someone needed new ones – the club does not need him. If he stays, nothing will change in the situation of the third division club.
However, interested parties would have to have sufficient capital. If you seriously think about a takeover, you have to bring between 200 and 300 million euros. However, he does not have a fixed price, emphasized Ismaik. This has been stuck in the 3rd league for years and is currently in ninth place in the table.
Ismaik has been a shareholder at TSV 1860 Munich since 2011. At that time he had saved the club from bankruptcy. In the following years, he invested considerable sums to enable the return to higher play classes. Nevertheless, there were always conflicts between the investor side and the club.
The “Bild” reported that an investor group around the former national goalkeeper Jens Lehmann was interested in starting. Talks with a group from England have stalled.
Reisinger emphasized that modern professional football without external donors was no longer conceivable. Clubs could no longer be managed as decades ago. TSV 1860 Munich is also dependent on partners – an association with a grown tradition, strong fan base and many members who still have great attraction.
