Shardul Thakur
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Shardul Thakur has fiercely commented for criticizing the commentators. Shardul was unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction held last year. But after Mohsin Khan was out of the tournament, Lucknow Super Giants chose him as a replacement. This decision to include Shardul in the team has been proved to be right for LSG.
Shardul is currently the second highest wicket -taking bowler in the current tournament. He is the highest wicket -taking bowler so far this season. Shardul contributed significantly to LSG’s six -wicket victory against the Gujarat Titans (GT) played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee of Lucknow on 12 April at Lucknow’s Bharat Ratna.
Shardul Thakur praises bowlers
Shardul said in a press conference after the match, “He has always believed that his team has bowled well throughout the season as a bowling unit.” Commentary is criticized many times. They try to be strict against the bowlers. But they have to understand that cricket is moving in a certain direction, where 200+ scores are now becoming a normal score.
The all -rounder further said that his team is credited that he has defended Target twice while batting first. We made a good score, the pitch became better for batting and despite many changes, he managed to defend. So it was about maintaining his patience till the end and believing in himself that he could win the match. For this, the team needs a wicket or a good over.

Shardul further said that as you said, criticism will always be there, especially from the commentators. It is easy to comment on someone’s bowling sitting in the studio, but they do not see the real picture on the field. I believe that they should see their figures before criticizing someone.
