Sporttotal AG has registered bankruptcy on self-administration, as can be seen from an ad hoc announcement by the streaming provider from mid-March. In addition to the main company, six German subsidiaries are also affected. The Sporttotal Venues GmbH and the US Stadium US Inc. are not affected by the application. “In the end, it has no longer been possible to implement capital measures that could have been financing the Sporttotal Group,” said the message.

A major reason for the insolvency has been multiple major projects in the international area. The board is now planning to continue the business through a renovation and restructuring in the context of insolvency proceedings. Despite the bankruptcy proceedings, business operations should continue according to the company. “When ordering the self -administration, the operational companies will maintain their business, so that restrictions for customers of the Sporttotal Group are avoided,” says the message.
