All five panelists appeared in front of Maharashtra Cyber on Tuesday in the India’s Got Latant controversial comment case. All the five panelists- Time Raina, Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchalani recorded their statement.
According to the information, Apoorva Mukhija first recorded her statement and left after interrogation. After this, the remaining four panelists time Raina, Ranveer Allahabadia, Ashish Chanchalani and Jaspreet Singh were questioned by officials.
Maharashtra Cyber issued three summons against Ranveer Allahabadia and time Raina asking him to appear before the investigating officer in Mumbai. Both of them arrived at the Maharashtra Cyber Office located in the Cuff Parade area of South Mumbai. Allahabadia did not appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Police to record its statement last week.
What is the whole controversy?
In fact, this whole controversy is about the abusive remarks made in an episode of the show, which was strongly resentful on social media. After this, the cyber cell issued a notice and summoned all the panelists. The controversy time started with a comment from Ranveer Ailahabadia in Raina’s YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’. The Mumbai Police and Assam Police are also investigating the case. Comedian time Raina started a parody show called ‘India’s Got Latent’ in June last year. Every episode of it used to contain different panelists. Talking to a contestant on the show, Ranveer asked a question about his parents, on which there was a lot of uproar.
Now Maharashtra is investigating the use of abusive language used in all 18 episodes of Cyber, India’s Got Latant. In this case, the cyber cell has so far recorded statements of 12 people, including Raghu Ram, Tau Raina, Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchalani, Poonam Pandey, Kaustubh Agarwal, Shaswat Maheshwari and Devesh Dixit. At the same time, the cyber cell has called Rakhi Sawant for questioning several times till now, but she has not reached yet to record the statement.
