Fierce helicopter
India has approved the largest defense deal so far to buy 156 Made in India LCH Prachanda helicopters. This decision was taken in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Security Affairs today. The Ministry of Defense has signed contracts worth more than Rs 2.09 lakh crore in this financial year. Giving information, the Defense Officer said that this will be the largest order for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) so far. Helicopters will be built in their plants in Bengaluru and Tumkur in Karnataka.
Explain that India has taken a big step towards further strengthening its military power. Actually, this deal will prove to be important towards promoting self -reliant India and increasing the strength of the land and Air Force.
‘Prachanda’ is capable of deploying at altitude
- The only attack in the world is the helicopter, which can also fly at an altitude of 16,400 feet (5,000 meters).
- Prachanda is mainly designed for deployment in high areas of Siachen, Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.
- It is ideal for deploying in altitude areas. Able from air to ground and air to air, equipped with missiles, can destroy the enemy’s aerial protection.
- Prachanda is capable of firing a variety of air-to-ground and air-to-air missile and can destroy the enemy’s air defense system.
- The involvement of severe helicopters in the army will diversify the Indian Air Force -attack helicopter fleet.
- This helicopter has been constructed under Make in India and self -sufficient India initiative.
Self -reliant India will get strength
Explain that the government has made this deal to promote self -reliance in the defense sector under ‘Make in India’. The largest order of 83 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) has already been given. The process of ordering 97 and LCA has been completed. The purchase of 307 Atags Howitzer cannons has also been approved by the cabinet recently.
