New Delhi: The powerful earthquake in Myanmar on Friday caused heavy damage. In such a situation, India has sent 15 tonnes of relief material to Myanmar as assistance. Sources said that relief material was sent to Myanmar from the Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130J aircraft from Hindon, India Air Force station Hindon in Hindon. According to sources, the relief package includes tents, sleeping bags, blankets, food prepared food, water purifier, hygiene kit, solar lamps, generator sets and essential jickens like paracetamol, antibiotics, syringes, gloves and straps.

Many tremors of earthquake in Myanmar

Let us know that many tremors of earthquakes were felt in Myanmar. This has caused a lot of damage not only in Myanmar but also in Thailand. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people since the earthquake. On one hand, many tremors of earthquakes were felt in Myanmar throughout the day, while an earthquake of 4.2 magnitude was recorded at 11.56 pm at night. According to the National Center for Sisamology, the depth of this earthquake was 10 kilometers, which is considered to be susceptible to the aftershock. Its center was near Mandalay, the city of Myanmar.

Impact also showed in Thailand

Earlier, several earthquake tremors were felt in Myanmar during the day, including a large earthquake of 7.7 magnitude on the Richter scale. A few minutes later, an earthquake of intensity of 6.4 and then 4.9 was also recorded. The earthquake occurred at 11:50 am on Friday morning (local time). This powerful earthquake was felt in many parts of Bangkok and Thailand. According to the report of eyewitnesses and local media, hundreds of people came out of the shaking buildings in Bangkok. Many posts on social media showed water coming out of the swimming pool due to the intensity of the earthquake.

PM Modi expressed concern

Earlier in a post, PM Modi on Friday expressed concern over the situation caused by the huge earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. PM Modi said that in this hour India is ready to provide all possible help to both countries. Prime Minister Modi said in a post on social media platform X, ‘I am worried about the situation arising out of earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. I pray for the safety and goodness of all. India is ready to provide all possible help.
