KK Pathak: The central government has given new and very important responsibility to the famous and fast IAS officer Keshav Kumar Pathak (KK Pathak) of Bihar. This 1990 batch officer has now been made Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat in Delhi. This is the same post which has recently been upgraded to Joint Secretary and has been given Additional Secretary level status. In this way, Pathak has now reached a decisive role in the central bureaucracy of the country from the post of Chairman of Bihar Revenue Board.
He came in the headlines in discussions with the education department
K.K. Pathak’s name is known for administrative strictness and quick decisions in Bihar. In June 2023, when he was given the responsibility of the Education Department of Bihar, he took many big and strict decisions without hesitation. His action created a stir in the teacher organizations and many times there was protest on the roads. His sharp noise with the then Education Minister Chandrashekhar was also a matter of great discussion in the politics and bureaucracy of the state.
Power changed, department changed, but readers did not change
After the change of power in Bihar, the reader was removed from the Education Department and sent to the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, where he took the role of Board President. The working style remained the same – tail, discipline and zero tolerance. During this time, he expressed his desire to go on central deputation. Now the central government has approved his application and he has been sent to the Cabinet Secretariat.
Originally from UP, but separate identity in Bihar
K.K., who belongs to Uttar Pradesh Pathak has created a different place in Bihar’s administrative machinery. The more tough his way of working is, the more clear his image. They should not tolerate negligence and corruption at any department.

In this sequence, the Central Government, another 2000 batch IAS officer N. Saravan Kumar has been appointed as Vice President of Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The Ministry of Personnel associated with the Prime Minister’s Office issued a notification of all these major changes on Friday.
