Israel hamas war: There is now a hope of a possible solution amidst the long and fierce struggle in Gaza between Israel and Hamas. Hamas has recently made an important proposal, saying that he is ready to release all Israeli hostages towards ending the war in Gaza. In return, the organization has demanded a complete return of the Israeli army, release of Palestinian prisoners and reconstruction of Gaza.
This announcement was made by senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya through a television address, in which he said that the organization is ready for a comprehensive agreement in which the responsibilities and rights of all the parties should be taken care of. He clarified that Hamas is not ready to lay down his arms in any situation and he rejected the 45 -day temporary ceasefire proposed by Israel. According to him, this proposal of Israel is only for buying time and taking political benefits, which aims to continue the struggle.
Al-Hayya directly accused the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that he is using the ceasefire to save his government and take political advantage. He said that the purpose of Netanyahu is to prolong the war, even if the lives of their own citizens have to be put at risk for this. Hamas has bluntly said that he will no longer be a part of any “partial agreement”.
Due to this tough stance, Egypt has suffered a shock to the mediation being done by Egypt. Recently, the conversation in Cairo also ended without any conclusion. Hamas has made it clear that until the Israel agrees to end the war, it will not leave the remaining 59 hostages.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has intensified its attacks in Gaza. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 32 Palestinians were killed in the attacks on Thursday, including many women and children. Six people died in an attack on a UN school in Jabalia. Israel claimed that a command center in Hamas was present there.
At the same time, Hamas informed that the Israeli-American soldier Aidan Alexander has lost contact with his fighters holding hostage. It was told that there have been Israeli attacks in the place where Alexander was imprisoned. Hamas warned the families of the hostages in a video message that such attacks could pose a serious threat to the lives of their loved ones.

Significantly, this struggle started on 7 October 2023, when Hamas suddenly attacked Southern Israel. According to Israeli data, about 1,200 people were killed and 251 people were taken hostage in that attack. In response to this, Israel initiated extensive military action in Gaza, in which more than 51,000 Palestinians have lost their lives so far.
In Israel too, the pressure on the government is increasing. The public, former military officers and family members of the hostages are constantly demanding to stop the war and a safe return to the hostages. Continuous demonstrations are taking place in Tel Aviv, where people are appealing to the government to adopt a human view and move towards agreement. A protestor was emotional and said that it is against humanity to consider this situation of hostage as normal.
It is clear that the current situation is very critical. While Hamas is ready to end war with extensive terms, Israel is taking a tough stance under security concerns and political strategies. The coming days will decide whether this proposal will take a decisive step in the direction of the ceasefire or will deepen the struggle.
