Megumi Ishitani is the director of the One Piece anime, who has made a name for herself in the community. After working on some popular anime episodes and “One Piece: Fan Letter”, which was a great success and catapulted at the top of the One Piece director, Ishitani has now released a new hit.
With the opening of Netflix’s new anime series Witch Watch, Ishitani has once again demonstrated her skills and captivated anime fans all over the world.

A newcomer anime this season was really taken with the community with its opening. The intro to Witch Watch is sung by the popular and famous Japanese pop duo Yoasobi (freezing, my star, beastars, etc.), and the director of openings is none other than megumi Ishitani.
Since working on some visually impressive one Piece episodes such as Episode 1015 and its direction of the One Piece special “Fan Letter”, Ishitani has had a kind of legend status among one piece fans. What is Witch Watch.
Witch Watch is a love comedy with fantasy elements of Kenta Shinohara, which has already celebrated success with his manga Sket Dance in the past.
Witch Watch tells the story of the young witch Nico Wakatsuki and her childhood friend Morihito Otogi, who is an ogre, but what a person looks like. After Nico successfully completed her magical training as a witch, the two move in.

Witch Watch is available at ADN, Crunchyroll, Anverese (Prime Video) as well as Netflix in the Japanese original tone with German subtitles. The anime has currently published an episode and new episodes appear at 10:30 a.m. at the corresponding streaming services.
