The Meteorological Department estimates that the temperature may increase further in the next two-three days and the temperature is expected to increase to 44 degrees Celsius.

Since the beginning of April, this summer phase continues. For the first time in this season, the mercury has crossed 42 degrees Celsius. The temperature of Nagpur has reached 42.02 degrees Celsius as it rises by 2 degrees. At the same time, Akola was the hottest with 43.9 degrees. Apart from this, districts like Chandrapur, Akola, Buldhana, Wardha, Yavatmal, Nagpur are also affected by this scorching heat.

Due to the heat, people are making every effort to get relief. Trying to protect themselves from the heat of the sun through scarves, towels, and umbrellas. Apart from this, people are also trying to keep the body cool by consuming lemon sorbet, coconut water and cold fluids. The roads have become deserted due to rising sunlight and people are coming out only for essential works.

Meteorological Department Warning

The Meteorological Department has warned that the temperature may increase further in the coming days. The department says that the temperature will currently remain between 42 degrees to 44 degrees. Most areas of Vidarbha are expected to reach the day temperature of 44 degrees. In Nagpur, Akola, Amravati, Brahmapuri, Yavatmal and other major cities, the mercury has been above 42 degrees, causing people to face more heat.

Meteorological Scientist R.K. According to Bal Subramaniam, there was light rain last week, but now the sky is clear, which is increasing the temperature continuously. Especially in West Vidarbha, the temperature may be 4 degrees above normal. In the coming two-three days, it can go up to 44 degrees further.

What to do to avoid heat?

If this temperature continues to rise in the same way, more records of summer are likely to break in the month of April and May. To avoid this growing heat, it is necessary for citizens to keep themselves hydrated. Also, measures should be taken to avoid the direct rays of the sun during the summer. Use a scarf or umbrella to avoid the heat of the sun while getting out of the house.
