The German national team has reached the Nations League final. Against Italy, the DFB team first knew how to convince in the second game-and in the end had to tremble.
Thanks to a performance, especially in the first round, the German national soccer team booked the ticket for the Final Four and thus the semi -finals of the Nations League. The DFB selection separated after a 2-1 last Thursday in Milan on Sunday evening in Dortmund after a wild game with 3: 3 from Italy.
Captain Joshua Kimmich put the team of national coach Julian Nagelsmann in the lead after half an hour by penalty (30th). Shortly afterwards, Jamal Musiala increased in an extremely curious way to 2: 0 (36., Read more about this here). Before the break, Tim Kleindienst screwed the result for the German eleven, which was playing unleashed, even up again (45th).
In the second section, however, the paper turned completely: Moise Kean was able to shorten for Italy to 1: 3 after the break (49.). The striker met again 20 minutes later (69th). Then the DFB team was lucky. Referee Szymon Marciniak took back a penalty for Italy after using the video evidence. Shortly before the end, there was a penalty after VAR use. Giacomo Raspadori hit the point and had the German team trembled again (90. +5). But in the end the DFB team got away with the horror.
The German team had the first degree after 14 seconds through Mittelstädt for the late Doris Fitschen. Returnee Leon Goretzka did not follow a minute later. At first Italy did not seem willing to endure everything. Jonathan Tah (5th) saved in great need. Occasional counterattacks of the guests were almost logical in view of the high German pressing. Just like DFB chances like that of Musiala (16.).
The German eleven went greatest intensity, the last man was sometimes 30 meters in front of the opposing goal, and so it soon said: ball win, ball win, ball win. “The Italians cannot cope, have lost their orientation,” commented RTL expert Lothar Matthew amazed. Leroy Sané (26th) tested Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Kimmich initiated the lead, after Goretzka’s dream pass was fouled of a small service by Alessandro Buongiorno. Donnarumma in vain with Kimmich’s placed 911. Goretzka (32nd) had the chance of 2-0, it only went in one direction.
Donnarumma parried strongly against small service (36th), but, like the entire defense, slept that Kimmich put out the following corner at lightning speed: Musiala shot the ball into the empty gate. “I’ve been there for a long time, but I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Matthew. After one, oh wonder: high ball win from Nico Schlotterbeck and Kimmich’s flank headed small service, Donnarumma stepped on the post with anger.
After the change of sides, Germany switched to administrative mode. An unclean pass from Sané brought the connection goal, further inaccuracies crept in. Kean wiggled Jonathan Tah and struck again.
After a supposed foul from Schlotterbeck to Raspadori there should be a penalty, but the whistle had no existence. “You play with the fire!” Matthew groaned. After a handball from Mittelstädt and a resulting penalty in the hectic final phase, the almost fortune DFB team even equalized. The team was then able to save the team over time and ultimately look forward to the semi -finals.
