Four people were injured in a fire in a apartment block in Mainz-Lerchenberg. The emergency services were alerted because of a kitchen fire, the Fire department with. When the fire brigade arrived, the flames were already massively beaten from an apartment on the third floor. The fire spread to the roof and to the neighboring building. According to the information, four people suffered slight flue gas poisoning, three had to be brought to hospitals.
According to the fire brigade, around 70 residents and neighbors were accommodated in a nearby community center and looked after by disaster protection. Two buildings of the tract are temporarily not habitable. Around 170 emergency services were on site, the operation lasted until midnight. According to the fire brigade, there are still no findings on the cause of the fire and amount of damage.
