Vijay, the superstar of South Indian films and president of Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam, is seen getting caught in a new controversy. All India Muslim Jamaat on Wednesday issued a fatwa against the actor and asked the Muslims not to stand with them. AIMJ President Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi said that Vijay has tarnished the image of Muslims, due to which a fatwa has been issued against him.

According to Maulana, Vijay invited gamblers and liquor drinkers to his iftar party. This tarnished the image of Muslims. For this reason, a fatwa was issued against him. Rizvi said, “He has formed a political party and maintains a cordial relations with Muslims. However, he has been depicted negatively as those who spread terrorism to Muslims in their films.”

Sunni Muslims are angry with Vijay

Maulana said, “Gamblers and liquor drinkers were invited to his Iftar party. Sunni Muslims of Tamil Nadu are angry with him. They asked for fatwa. Therefore, I have issued a fatwa in my reply stating that Muslims should not stand with Vijay.”

Controversy started due to asking for Y security

The controversy began when the opposition alleged that TVK asked the Center to Vi-Stirity for Vijay, as he feared that the actor was “threatened by Muslims”. VCK spokesman Vannirsu said, “Vijay has falsely shown Muslims in his films ‘Kathi’ and ‘Beast’. Therefore, Vijay and TVK felt that the actor could be threatened by Muslims and sought security from the Ministry of Home Affairs.” However, TVK and ally Tamil Nadu Muslim League denied the allegations and said that this is a trick of DMK and its colleagues to separate Muslims from TVK.
