The “King of Mallorca” turned 80 and celebrated it properly. Jürgen Drews gives his fans insight into his birthday party in a Tyrolean luxury hotel on social media, in which a few tears flowed.
“80 years !!! I can hardly believe it, the old Drews is now really old, at least as far as the number is concerned. That I can still experience it! Thanks from the bottom of my heart,” writes all your congratulations, “writes Jürgen Drews at the beginning of his round birthday on Instagram. In anticipation of celebrating a “beautiful, relaxed day with my loved ones”. In his Instagram stories, “Uncle Jürgen” then takes his 86,400 followers at least virtually with the celebrations in the Tyrolean celebrity hotel “Stanglwirt”. In various short videos you can see, among other things, how the birthday child unpacks gifted sunglasses, a birthday serenade is sung and is happy about culinary delights.
Drews’ daughter Joelina posts the section of a video that the family cut together for the jubilee on her Instagram account. There are private recordings, including Jürgen Drews, who splashes with the little Joelina in the pool. “We all had to cry so often,” writes the 29-year-old in her Instagram story, which her father reposted.

That Drews can still experience this …
The fact that he would be 80 years old would not have expected the self-proclaimed “King of Mallorca”, as he explained in the RTL interview with Frauke Ludowig before his birthday. “I would have said that I would not survive that 20 or 30 years ago,” he summed up with a view to his music career.
In 2022, Drews had turned his back on the stage. He was diagnosed with nerve disease polyneuropathy, which leads to numbness, tingling or burning in the body. “I actually get along quite well. Sometimes I realize that I will fluctuate a bit, but you can endure that. Ramona really gives me the hold,” he explains in an interview with Ludowig.
To his surprise, he does not miss his old life: “Very strange that I say that. Because I always thought: I can’t get along without a stage.”
