How do couples with children manage that both work full -time? In our series, Tina*, 39, deputy head of the daycare center, and Florian*, 36, system engineer at an IT service provider, report on her everyday life with her two daughters, seven and two years old. The family lives in a big city in Baden-Württemberg.
They both work 100 percent. Was that always like that?
He: My wife took nine months of parental leave after both births, I three months for our older daughter and for the younger four months. My wife and I made the first month of parental leave together, and I used the remaining months to get used to the daycare. Full -time means 38 hours per week in my company.
