New colors with noble touch
Visually, the new Supersonic R stands out from the previous model series: two new color variants – “Ceramic Pink & Roségold” and “Jasper Plum” – ensure a noble touch. The housing looks high quality, the curved design is not only an eye -catcher, but should also improve handling.

Smaller, lighter, more powerful
The revised design makes it 30 percent more compact and 20 percent lighter than its predecessor – and without doing without performance. It should continue to dry hair efficiently and gently by combining a powerful air flow with intelligent temperature control. The curved design makes it easier to blow -dry areas, according to Dyson. The weight distribution was therefore optimized. According to the manufacturer, the styling attachments are specially tailored to different hair structures and individual needs.
Straight + wavy – for smooth and corrugated hair
- Styling nozzle: concentrates the air flow for precise styling
- The essay for gentle air flow: distributes the air evenly and protects the scalp
- Smoothing nozzle: reduces Frizz and ensures a smooth, natural finish
Curly + coiot – for curly and frizzy hair
- Styling nozzle: focuses on the air flow for targeted styling
- Diffusor: Defines curls and waves and reduces Frizz
- Cam attachment with wide patches: Should the hair be disguised while drying and stretching
For all hair types:
- The attachment for powerful air flow: ensures quick drying with high -speed air flow
- Flyaway attachment: Use the “Coanda” effect to tame protruding hair
Smarter technology for healthy hair styling
According to Dyson, the Supersonic R relocates a combination of high -performance technology and intelligent sensors to dry the hair gently and efficiently. The built-in Dyson hyperdymium engine is said to generate a strong air flow with up to 110,000 revolutions per minute. The optimized heating technology guides the heated air through ten fine foils, which, according to the manufacturer, should ensure even heat distribution and more precise, faster drying. In addition, an ionizing technology is used to reduce static charging and minimize frizz and flying hair.

The special thing about the new Dyson Supersonic R: The compact, curved design.

Intelligent sensors for heat protection and comfort
First impression: compact, smart and intuitive
At first glance, the Dyson Supersonic R convinces with its well thought -out, more compact design. The smaller and lighter design is noticeable: the hair dryer lies comfortably in the hand and can be easily maneuvered, a great advantage with longer styling sessions. The curved design not only looks modern, but also enables more targeted styling, especially at difficult to reach.
We find the RFID technology exciting, which automatically recognizes which essay is used, as well as the intelligent temperature regulation, which should avoid heat damage. However, the Supersonic Nural also has both on board. The heating technology with ten fine foils sounds innovative. It remains to be seen whether it really makes a noticeable difference. The ionizing technology that is supposed to reduce Frizz is also standard for other hair dryers.
While the Supersonic Nural cost 499 euros at the start, the new Supersonic R with 549 euros is even more expensive. Sure, it offers the latest technology, smart sensors and versatile styling opportunities. An argument for the changeover is likely to provide the new form factor. Whether the device can meet the manufacturer’s promises in practice will be shown in everyday test. Our first impression: Dyson has made sensible optimizations that improve the handling of the hair dryer.
