Mysterious pictures-does Karl-Erivan Haub live in Moscow?

It is one of the greatest riddles in German company history: the disappearance of Tengelmann boss Karl-Erivan Haub. Now there are new hints.
The history of the former Tengelmann boss Karl-Erivan Haub is the fabric from which thriller series is made. A dazzling entrepreneur with connections to Russia, a heavy family that argues by a billion inheritance, and a mysterious death, of which seven years later it is not clear whether the deceased does not actually live.
The last photo, which Haub shows alive on the morning of April 7, 2018, comes from a surveillance camera on the Klein Matterhorn in Zermatt. The then 58-year-old wanted to go to a ski tour in the Valais Alps. Then his trail is lost. The search for Haub – one of the largest in the history of Swiss mountain rescue – was discontinued in October 2018. In May 2021, the Cologne District Court officially declared him dead.
The “Manager Magazin” has now published photos of Haub that are supposed to show him in Moscow in February 2021. The pictures are out of focus, the man on the recordings carries a hat, but a certain similarity to Haub is difficult to overlook. It has been known for a long time that these pictures exist. Now they are shown for the first time by the magazine belonging to the “Spiegel” group.
Two private investigators commissioned by the Tengelmann group, on the results of which the “Manager Magazin” refers to, wants to have tracked down the pictures of Haub. They therefore come from a surveillance camera, which was played interforge to investigators by the Israeli-American security service provider. According to two reports that confirm the authenticity of the images, the person in the photos is actually Karl-Erivan Haub. He would therefore only have staged his death.
However, there are still numerous inconsistencies in the case. For example, a forensic expert puts the likelihood that it is really the billionaire, at 99 percent, her colleague at least 85 percent. But: The raw data is obviously lacking the recordings procured by the security company interfor. However, these are necessary in order to be able to determine the time and place of the pictures without any doubt. So it could also be manipulated recordings – or even counterfeits.
According to the private investigator, it is undisputed that Haub had contacts to Moscow. On April 6th, the night before his disappearance, he called Zermatt twice with a woman named Veronika E., an event manager from St. Petersburg. The conversations are said to have taken an hour and a half.
Just two days earlier, on April 5, the two apparently called four times together. Haub is said to have instructed the pilots of his private jet to change the destination for his stay in the Alps. Instead of in the French Les Deux Alpes, as originally planned, he flew to Zermatt in Switzerland.
The relationship between E. and Haub could be traced back to 2008, even then Haub and E. were often in the same place, including in the Black Sea championship, where the Russian ruler Putin also has a residence, and in Moscow. E. himself told Russian reporters that she only entertained a work relationship with Haub.
Many million euros are said to be infiltrated in Russia
According to the RTL journalist Liv from Boetticher, the room has suspected that the two could have been a couple of lovers. There is also the assumption that E. could be an agent of the Russian domestic secret service FSB and have helped to go into being. None of these theories have so far been confirmed.
