Expert suspect Münchhausen-Deputy Syndrome
The aim of the mother was to further deteriorate the child’s state of health in the summer of 2023, so that his further treatment in a clinic would be necessary. According to a court spokesman, there is currently no evidence of lasting damage.
The indictment is for abuse -shaped and dangerous bodily harm. The public prosecutor assumes an emotional-stable personality disorder of the mother. It should also suffer from an opioid dependency. An expert also suspects the Münchhausen deputy syndrome. Parents who have this disorder intentionally make their children ill to get recognition and present themselves as self -sacrificing people.
Child was in inpatient treatment
According to the indictment, the child from St. Leon-Rot (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis) suffered from a high fever for more than seven weeks and was in inpatient treatment. The family also includes another child and the father. The mother did everything for the children, her partner said.
The maximum penalty framework is ten years in prison for the abuse of protruders and for dangerous bodily harm, as the court spokesman said. In the process, 19 witnesses are invited, including several doctors. In addition, according to the speaker, two experts, including a psychiatric expert. A total of six appointments are scheduled in the procedure by the beginning of June.
