In London, the body of a missing girl is recovered from the Thames. There is suspicion of a tragic misfortune.

In London, a body was found in the search for a girl who has been missing for almost two weeks. According to BBC and the Sun, the eleven -year -old Kaliyah Coa, who had fallen into the Thames on March 31, could be.

As the Metropolitan Police announced, the body was discovered on Sunday morning around 9 a.m. in the Maritime Quay area at the Isle of Dogs. A formal identification is still pending, but the girl’s family has already been informed and is looked after by special forces, the police said.

The Beckton student had been traveling with friends on a day -free day. It is said to have got into the water near the bargehouse Causeway in North Woolwich. Local residents reported that they played on the river bank. It was probably slipped and was carried away by the current.

A large -scale search use was started immediately after its disappearance. A day later, the police had converted the search to a salvage mission. Local residents described dramatic scenes: children are said to have screamed and called for help, a woman discovered personal items on the bank of the girl – including shoes, a sock, a jacket and a cell phone. Another resident hurried to the water with a lifeguard ring, but could no longer discover the girl.

The place where the accident happened is a sloping concrete ramp that leads into the water and is used for boat transport. According to several residents, the ramp is heavily overgrown with moss and therefore particularly slippery.

A relative of Kaliyah told The Sun that the girl had only celebrated her birthday recently and was “a happy, fun -loving person”.
