Corporate participations: Capital for SMEs – new participation funds will come soon

Medium -sized companies in Thuringia have the prospect of a public financial injection from the country’s participation capital. A correspondingly announced fund with a circumference of initially 20 million euros is expected to be available from summer, as Minister of Economics Colette Boos-John announced. Fund is intended to boost growth and support succession

According to the ministry, the new fund is aimed at medium -sized Thuringian companies from the age of five and a minimum turnover of two million euros. The technology industry in particular should be addressed. The state funds are intended to strengthen the equity of companies that want to grow. Company succession should also be supported to prevent emigration or closures.

The state of the Thuringia’s BMT (BMT) participation management (BMT), the country is capitalized by institutional investors and the public sector in founding teams and companies in Thuringia. The BMT is currently involved in 59 companies with 238 million euros.

The BMT is currently taking care of twelve participation funds. The BMT also advertises co -financing for the investments from the private sector. The BMT made around 22 million euros available from its funds of participation capital, co-investors around 55 million euros.
