In the process, still in the presence of mayor Philippe Marini, the nOuvelle Place Michel-Woimant has been the subject of this environmental operation, with 32 trees planted by young parents. This new place on the site of the old air genius regiment will soon host a fountain in its center. Two trees were also offered to residents of the sector who will plant them in their gardens.
Launched in 2021, the operation “a birth a tree” is positive for the aesthetics of the city streets and squares but also for the improvement of the environment. The objective is to plant around 400 trees per year.
Compiègne won the regional tree price
