A supermarket is burning on the southern edge of Berlin. The fire brigade is in large -scale operation, residents are warned of the smoke.
A fire broke out on Friday afternoon in a supermarket in Blankenfelde-Mahlow on the southern edge of Berlin. As a spokesman for the regional control center in Brandenburg on the Havel T-Online said, the market is completely burning. According to the current status, people were not violated. The fire was reported to the fire brigade at 4:53 p.m., said the spokesman. The extinguishing work would still go far into Friday evening. Because of the goods in the market, there is a lot of flammable material.
The fire column of the fire can be seen widely, said the spokesman, to Berlin and in other surrounding communities such as Ludwigsfelde, Großbeeren or Rangsdorf. Local warning for odor nuisance by the smoke was published via the warning system of the Federal Office for Disaster Protection.
