In the district of Barnim, 350 cubic meters of bulky waste burn on a recycling center. The fire on the site in Werneuchen had broken out for reasons unknown in the early morning, a spokesman for the Fire department. In the meantime, however, the flames are under control. The “RBB” had first reported.
The assignment will continue for a few more hours, it said. In order to remove all embers, the garbage mountain must be pulled apart and deliberately extinguished. Around 75 fire brigade is currently on site. There is currently no danger for surrounding residents.
