Dhaka: The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) said on Friday that it has no objection to former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s party (Awami League) return to politics, provided the party entered politics under clean leadership. This statement came at a time when the interim government of Bangladesh made it clear that there is no plan to ban the Awami League.

BNP cleaned the stance

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) spokesperson and senior joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said at a party program in the capital Dhaka, “If the person who will lead the Awami League, is not guilty of any crime, has not killed students, or not the rigging of money abroad, then why can’t the party do politics?”
