An aircraft crashed on the banks of Honduras, a country in Central America. 12 people died in the accident, including a famous Garifuna Musician. The Lamsa Airlines aircraft crashed into the sea shortly after flying from the island of Roaon to the mainland city of La Sibi on Monday night. The aircraft had 17 passengers and crew members, out of which five were rescued and hospitalized.

According to police, the aircraft could not reach the entire height and drowned in the sea immediately after the collision. Local fishermen saved the survivors. The Honduras Civil Aeronautics Agency said the accident was being investigated.

Auralio Martinez Sujou dies

The deceased also included former MP and member of Garifuna Caste Group Auralio Martinez Sujou, who came from African and tribal mixed dynasty. Martinez Sujou also had American citizenship. His representative, Helen Odile, Givarch, who is a French citizen, was one of the survivors in the accident.

Martinez Sujou was a resident of Grassias a DeoS region of Honduras, located near the Caribbean coast of the country. His nephew Angel Aparisio Fernandez Martinez, who was also a musician with his uncle, said on Tuesday that we were destroyed, he was the basis of the family.

Music group named ‘Lita Erran’

Martinez Sujou was the first member of “Los Gatos Bravos”. He then formed his own music group “Lita Eryran”. His first album “Garifuna Sol” took him to Europe, the United States and other parts. His nephew said, “He was Honduras’s biggest ideal for Garifuna music and he presented it globally.”

Humbarto Castillo, president of the African-Accession Association of Sula Valley, described Martinez Sujou as “Ambassador of Garifuna Culture”. He said that he used to compose music in both Garifuna and Miskito languages ​​and speak in both languages. The bodies of the deceased were sent from Roaon to San Pedro Sula’s Marg. (input language)
