A fleet change at AIDA brings the AIDAperla to Hamburg. The ship now starts travel to the fjords and European metropolises.
After a three -week transatlantic trip, the “Aidaperla” arrived in Hamburg on Wednesday and heralded the 2025 summer season. The cruise ship will now regularly start travel to the north and western Europe.
The passengers, who went on board at the Cruise Center Steinwerder on April 9, had a trip, depending on the booking, which had started in La Romana (Dominican Republic), Bridgetown (Barbados) or Tenerife. Previously, the ship was regularly used on Caribbean routes.
Before the “AIDAperla” sets off regularly to the one-week metropolitan routes towards Western Europe and the Norwegian fjords from the end of April, there are still three shorter Norway trips on the timetable. The route already started from April 9th to 14th leads back to Hamburg via Eidfjord and Stavanger.
With the arrival in Hamburg, the “AIDAperla” takes over the regular Saturday trip trips from the “Aidanova”, which is moving to Kiel for this year’s summer season. In recent years, the “Aidaperla” has been on longer fjord trips. In 2025 this will now take over the identical sister ship “Aidaprima”.
Both ships belong to the Hyperion class built in Japan and offer space for around 3,300 guests when it comes to double occupancy. The “AIDAperla” will regularly create in Hamburg until October 25, before it then drives back to the Caribbean via Canary Islands.
