According to its own statements, the United States made separate agreements with Ukraine and Russia on Tuesday to ensure safe shipping in the Black Sea and to assume a ban on attacks on energy systems in both countries. The White House in Washington said that the US government will help to restore Russia’s access to the world market for agricultural and fertilizer exports. In addition, talks will continue to be conveyed on both sides in order to achieve sustainable peace. Previously, US representatives had negotiated separately with Russian and Ukrainian delegations.
There were no comments from the Russian or the Ukrainian side. Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskow had previously said that Russia analyzed the results of the talks in Riad. The delegations would have reported to their respective governments. These would now be checked. Public statements are not to be expected. “See you talk about technical negotiations that go into detail. Of course, no content of the negotiations are published.” Peskow emphasized that it can only be discussed after detailed review.
Dreier talks between Russia, the USA and Ukraine are currently not planned as well as a conversation between Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, Peskow said. However, this could be arranged at short notice if necessary.
