He has alleged that he was wrongly kept in jail, false allegations and attempts were made to discredit him, as he was raising voice in support of Palestine in the US.

However, after this claim of Khalil, Homeland Security called it absolutely wrong. At the same time, Khalil accused the Jewish students of intimidating and spreading hatred. The Ministry of External Affairs said that the action taken against Khalil was in accordance with the law. The White House and ICE have not responded to this.

Khalil narrated the story of his arrest

After his release from jail, Khalil remembered his arrest and told him how he was lodged in a cold jail in Louisiana and was waiting for the news of his son’s birth. At the same time, Khalil’s lawyers have made this claim against the Homeland Security Department, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Ministry of External Affairs.

Khalil is a student of Colombia University
