In the Delhi Assembly on Thursday, the word ‘Bhai’ led to a 13 -minute sharp noise between the ruling BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which led to a disruption in the House. You were adamant that the word was probably used in a sense of disrespect towards Leader of Opposition Atishi, PWD Minister Pravesh Verma asked the opposition leaders, “What did I say?” How is it wrong to say ‘brother’? ”Amid the uproar in the assembly, Speaker Vijendra Gupta dropped three AAP MLAs from the House. He got AAP’s Kuldeep Kumar and Special Ravi out of the House through Marshall.
What is the whole matter?
The ruckus started when Verma was answering a question related to the pilgrimage committee during the Question Hour. Taking a dig at you, he said that the previous government sanctioned Rs 80 crore for the pilgrimage committee for 2024-25, but did not spend anything. Opposition AAP MLAs reacted sharply to this comment. Former Chief Minister Atishi also stood up to respond to Verma’s allegation. As soon as the minister tried to resume his reply, Atishi and other AAP MLAs continued their strong opposition.
On many times failing to resume his speech, Pravesh Verma said, “Where have you brought brother?” Atishi again protested and said that the language used by Verma is ‘unprocessful’. Other AAP MLAs also supported him and accused the minister of disrespect. The PWD Minister said, “I just called ‘brother”. What is unparliamentary in this? ”
‘Atishi ji is my sister, not brother’
The Assembly Speaker asked the AAP members that if Verma has said only ‘Bhai’, then what is objectionable word in it is not an objectionable word. He said, “I am unable to understand the issue.” When the opposition MLAs continued to protest against the comment, Gupta ordered the AAP leaders to take out the special Ravi and Kuldeep Kumar. Verma tried to explain the meaning of his comment. He said that he meant to ask, ‘Where do you bring such bad behavior?’ Verma also said that he did not name anyone. After some more debate with AAP MLAs, Verma said, “Atishi ji is my sister, not brother.” After this, the assembly proceedings became normal. (With language inputs)
