A big case of GST theft from Hazaribagh exposed, MK Enterprises, who did crores of business, turned out to be fake

Hazaribagh, Arif: A case of about 1 crore GST theft has come to light from Hazaribagh district. This case is related to the State-tax Joint Commissioner Office Hazaribagh Zone. The state-tax department is investigating the matter intensively. In the case, the businessman says that the agent who has filled the return has cheated him, he has no information in this regard. Apart from this, MK Enterprises, who sells crores of rupees in the district, has also turned out to be fake in the investigation.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, GST number is going on from the department to do FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) business to businessman Pintu Kumar Gupta, a resident of NTPC Tandwa in Chatra district. For example, businessman Pintu Kumar can buy and sell materials related to foods, beverages, soaps and beauty materials, but the businessman was selling rod-cement in their place. In this way, the businessman has stolen about 1 crore GST so far. Businessman Pintu Kumar has also become helpful in providing the benefit of ITC (input tax credit) to another dealer. Rod-cement has also been sold outside the state, which has done business of more than 5 crores.

Agent filing returns frauds – businessman Pintu

Following the instructions of the Divisional Additional Commissioner, an investigation team of officials has exposed the case. Officers are investigating all aspects of the case. Officials say that tax will be recovered from the businessman. Here businessman Pintu Kumar told the officials in this regard that he has nothing to do in this whole matter. The agent who has filled the returns has cheated me. Here the agent is absconding since the case of GST theft is exposed.

MK Enterprises turned out to be fake

MK Enterprises, selling crores of rupees in the district, has turned out to be fake in the investigation. Following the instructions of the Additional Commissioner, the joint team of Hazaribagh zone and IB reached the address of MK Enterprises, but in the investigation, the address of MK Enterprises turned out to be fake. In this regard, officials say that MK Enterprises has taken GST number from the department for rod-cement business at the address of Okni in Hazaribagh district. According to the GST number, the sale of rod-cement worth crores of rupees is visible, but the address of MK Enterprises turned out to be fake in the investigation.
