Arizona finished 89-73 and will not know if it will play in the postseason until Monday with the doubleheader of the postponed game between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves. Both have a record of 88-72.
If either team sweeps the doubleheader, the Diamondbacks They reach the postseason, but if the duels are divided, the Mets and Braves advance and Arizona is left out.
San Diego (93-69) will know its rival in the Wild Card Series until Monday.
