Eklat at coalition talks: SPD probably left the room closed

According to a report, the negotiations of the Union and the SPD are only slow. With a remark about women, the scandal is said to have occurred.
Although the constitutional change of the possible government of the SPD and Union provides more legroom in financial issues, the coalition negotiations on financial policy seem to be stalling again and again. As the “FAZ” writes, citing participants of the Union, the two parties do not move towards each other, especially in tax policy. Instead, the mood is “vermint”.
Finally, the taxation of spouses had a scandal: SPD politicians and Rhineland-Palatinate finance minister Doris Ahnen described the spouse splitting as a reason to keep women in poorly paid jobs. The CSU politician Mechthilde Wittmann is said to have asked back whether she thinks women are so stupid. As a result of this provocation, the representatives of the SPD had temporarily left negotiations.
Union politicians describe the negotiations towards the “FAZ” generally as “depressing”, “verl” and “frustrating to the mark”. From the perspective of the Christian Democrats, there is no problem awareness among the SPD negotiators-they accuse the Social Democrats not to move to them on any of the topics that are not decided in the exploratory documents.
The SPD wants to finance the “relief of the middle” by raising the top and rich tax rate- but this is out of the question for the Union. For this, the Social Democrats reject the CDU and CSU’s proposals to relieve companies.
Until the judgment of the Constitutional Court on March 26, the parties would also have left the Soli dispute.
