The Railway Ministry said on Wednesday that more than 50,000 candidates will be given jobs in the financial year 2025-26. The ministry said that the Railway Recruitment Board has sent appointment letters to more than 9,000 candidates in the first quarter.
According to the press release issued by the Ministry of Railways, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued seven separate notifications for 55,197 posts since November 2024. Under these notifications, computer -based examinations (CBT) of more than 1.86 crore candidates have been conducted. The release said that this will give RRB a chance to give jobs to more than 50,000 candidates in the financial year 2025-26. Appointment letters have already been issued to more than 9,000 people in the first quarter of this year.

Candidates will be able to take the exam near the house
The Railway Ministry said that conducting CBT for RRB examinations is a huge process, which requires a comprehensive plan and coordination. The press release said that the RRB has taken the initiative to allocate the examination centers near their home, which has given special priority to women and disabled people (PWBD). For this, more employees are needed to create more examination centers and conduct the examination in a fair and transparent manner.
More than 50000 appointments will also be made in 2026-27
The Railway Ministry said that RRB has issued 12 notifications for 1,08,324 posts since 2024 as per its annual calendar. More than 50,000 appointments will be proposed in the next financial year 2026-27.

Candidates being identified through Aadhaar card
The ministry said that RRB has taken a new initiative to increase the fairness of examinations. For the first time, e-KYC-based Aadhaar card certification has been used to identify candidates, which has achieved more than 95 percent success. In addition, 100% jammers are being installed to prevent duplication at all examination centers, so that no one can misuse electronic device.
