At the weekend the weather in Mallorca has it all. While it is still changeable at first, it should be stormy from Saturday afternoon. The Spanish weather service published warning levels.

After weeks of unstable weather, it should be calmer and sunnier on Mallorca from the weekend. However, a storm that could cause dangers from high waves, especially on the coasts, are absorbed, reports the “Mallorca Zeitung”.

The Spanish Weather Service Aemet has therefore published a storm warning that applies from Saturday, 12 p.m. in the south, west and north of Mallorca. In the lowlands, the gusts can reach up to 80 km/h, on the mountain peaks up to 110 km/h. On the coasts there are even higher warning levels – orange in the east and west as well as yellow in the north and south.

Four to five meters are warned of an average of four to five meters, and the waves can reach eight to ten meters. People who go for a walk by the sea should therefore be particularly careful and keep distance from the water. Despite the changeable weather – rain, snow and hail are possible – the temperatures reach up to 15 degrees.

It is sunny all day on Sunday, the temperatures continue to rise. Only in the northern regions around Pollença and Alcúdia there is a storm warning until noon. In other parts of the island, it ends on Sunday night.

At the beginning of the new week, Mallorca expects spring -like weather – with sunshine, blue sky and temperatures above 20 degrees. However, the water is still quite cool: the water temperatures are 15 to 17 degrees on the beaches.
