The National Police has arrested two repeat thievesa 53-year-old Italian and a 41-year-old Frenchman, for committing numerous robberies in Ibiza. Among the objects seized there are 3,380 euros, 7 high-end mobile phones, three laptops, as well as a multitude of objects such as glasses, wallets and bags.
The investigation has been carried out by the specialized and violent crime group (UDEV), a special operation that lasted three days until the dismantling of this criminal group has been achieved, to whom numerous crimes of theft, document falsification, integration into a criminal group and against road safety have been charged.
The investigations began on September 15 when a complaint was received from a woman who was the victim of a robbery while she was at home.got into his vehicle in a commercial area of ​​Ibiza. At that moment, the two men took advantage of the victim’s confusion to steal her bag which he carried in the passenger seat.
Days later, several similar incidents were detected in other areas of the island, with a common criminal pattern: thieves They took advantage of the driver’s inattention to commit the robbery. In fact, those now arrested went so far as to deflate the tires of the vehicles to cause the victim to become distracted.
And it is a criminal group that used to act fast, coordinated manner and with precise distribution of functions. The two members were arrested last Wednesday at 10:40 a.m. in the town of Santa Eulalia del RÃo when they were heading to the port of Ibiza with the aim of leaving the island.

the suitcases that the two known criminals, multiple repeat offenders, were carrying with them when they were arrested
Once all the procedures at the police stations were completed, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
