Authorities reported that Two teenagers were shot Wednesday in broad daylight near a school in Brooklyn, New York, just one day after a 15-year-old student was shot outside his high school less than a mile away.
The shots hit the two 17-year-olds near Avenue J and 82nd Street, steps from Isaac Bildersee Junior High School in Canarsie around 3:15 p.m., according to reports from authorities cited by the New York Post.
One of the children was shot several times in the leg and torso, while the other was shot in the leg, the police said.
Police said it is unclear what sparked the shooting.
The shooting is the latest in a series of recent acts of teen violence that have occurred near Big Apple schools.
On Tuesday, Teenager shot in right leg outside South Shore High School on Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie, police said.
The Post’s sources said another teen shot him before the victim ran and collapsed nearby.
He was taken to Brookdale University Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.
As of Wednesday night, there were no arrests in any of the shootings.
Last week, a 17-year-old boy was also shot in the leg outside a Staten Island high school, leaving him in stable condition.
