A pedestrian was hit by a car in the Rostock district at a traffic light and was fatally injured. The car of a 61-year-old was crashed into a crash on a crossing in Sievershagen with a car driving in cross traffic, the police said. This car then drove to a traffic light mast and hit the pedestrian there.
Despite attempts at resuscitation of first aiders and emergency services, the woman still succumbed to her serious injuries at the scene of the accident. The 53-year-old driver of the car, which crashed into the traffic light mast, had to be taken to a hospital. Both vehicles were badly damaged. According to the information, the traffic light system is still out of operation until Tuesday afternoon.
