In 1990, Meenakshi Seshadri worked with Sunny Deol and director Rajkumar Santoshi in ‘injured’ and ‘Damini’. Both films were blockbusters. During the shooting of ‘Damini’, Rajkumar Santoshi spoke to Meenakshi and proposed to her for marriage, but she turned down the proposal. Rajkumar Santoshi, who was allegedly tried to convince Meenakshi Seshadri even after this, caused a lot of quarrel between the two. On this, the filmmaker tried to replace him in ‘Damini’. However, after the intervention of the Cine Workers Association, he could not do so and later he also worked together in ‘deadly’, for which Meenakshi was allegedly signed already.

In 1995, the fans of Meenakshi Seshadri were disappointed when the actress retired from acting. She registered an investment banker Harish Mysore registered in New York in New York and then moved to Plano in Texas. Meenakshi and Harish have two children, a daughter and a son. Meenakshi often comes to Mumbai and recently expressed her desire to return to Bollywood.
