The romance between Bárbara Rey and Juan Carlos I has a new episode to tell that OKDIARIO has had access to through some audios. In them, the famous former star speaks on the phone with someone unidentified in a distressing and desperate way about the situation she is experiencing. We are talking about the year 1997. The recording, perfectly clear, shows a conversation in which Totana speaks in a high, angry tone and with a mixture of concern and sadness about her son Ángel Cristo Jr., precisely the one who right now has shown himself to be the person who has betrayed her even more by selling to the press some photos in which she appears with the Emeritus in a romantic attitude and that leaves no room for doubt about what everyone assumed, but that now everyone has seen: a romance between who was then the head of state and one of the most famous people in the world of social life at the time. In this conversation, Bárbara Rey shows herself as a mother concerned about the suffering that her son, who at that time was only 16 years old, seems to be suffering.
«I don’t want absolutely anything because there is no money, There is no money to pay for what I have experienced, been through, and my son has been through.», the audio of said conversation begins. In it, Bárbara Rey, more angry than sad, asks her interlocutor how it is possible that “that child, at his age, does not smile,” to then add that his face conveys “only sadness and a suffering that carries inside him.” On the other end of the line there is only silence, which allows Bárbara Rey to continue venting as her disgust, anger and regret grows in crescendo.

Is something wrong?” Bárbara Rey continues in the conversation giving details of how she perceives her son’s mood. «That anguish with which he is living, because there are many more in all this (sic), because I wanted my daughter… because my daughter, thank God, I have tried to keep her out of it». It refers to Sofía Cristo, the second of the children she had with the tamer Ángel Cristo and who at that time was only 14 years old.
At the time of the conversation, the audio of which this newspaper has had access to, Bárbara Rey’s children were minors and perhaps this explains what her mother conveys to her interlocutor; a deep concern for, above all, the eldest of the house: «He, who He has considered himself the man of my housewho is continually suffering from the fear that comes from the harm they could do to me, the fear they have of what they could do to me, what they could do to him, because he (his son) knows what I am subjected to, because “It has cut off my freedom, because it has allowed my job to be cut off, because it has allowed my access to any type of social level, to any social act, to be cut off,” she laments, sinking deeper and deeper into tears.
