Anuj Kanaujia and Reena Rai
Anuj Kanaujia, the infamous criminal of Ghazipur and Mau, finally came to an end. Uttar Pradesh STF killed this dangerous shooter in the encounter. Anuj’s name was associated with Mukhtar Ansari gang and his fear was spread throughout the area. Anuj, a resident of Bahlolpur village of Chiraiyakot police station area of Mau district, was not new. His name is associated with an audacious incident in Ghazipur 16-17 years ago, which people have not forgotten even today. The incident took place on April 20, 2009, when bullets were fired in broad daylight at a medical store in Dullahpur market. Medical store operator Sanjay Verma survived in this attack, but his brother Manoj Verma lost his life.
Bloody game under the guise of love
The story began with Anuj Kanaujia and Reena Rai’s love affair. Reena lived near the medical store and Anuj often talked to the PCOs installed there. Meanwhile, his medical store owner Sanjay Verma got upset. This minor dispute soon turned into a major enmity. Anuj conspired to assassinate Sanjay with his colleagues.
On 20 April 2009, the masked miscreants attacked the medical store and started firing. Sanjay Verma was not present there at that time, but his brother Manoj Verma was gunned down with bullets. This incident shook the entire Ghazipur.
Girlfriend also became accused
After the murder, the police intensified the action and registered a case against his girlfriend Reena Rai and other accomplices including Anuj. The police arrested Reena Rai and some other accused after seeing the resentment in the business class. But Anuj had escaped by then. After some time he surrendered in Mau. Later Reena Rai, who was an accused in this case, became the wife of Anuj Kanaujia. Even after the second society, Reena married Anuj without the will of the family. Both were married in police custody. After Anuj went to jail, Reena was watching her work.
Anuj lived together as a shadow of Mukhtar
Even after this, Anuj’s story in the world of crime did not end here. He started working for gangster Mukhtar Ansari and carried out many serious incidents. But finally, the law turned out to be long. The shooter, which dodged the police for years, came under the target of STF and was killed in an encounter. The people of Ghazipur and Mau breathed a sigh of relief, but his bloody story is still fresh in the minds of people.
