The Supreme Court today heard the case of the Waqf Amendment Bill. On this matter, Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali said, ‘The hearing in the Supreme Court in view of the Waqf Amendment Act 2025 has taken place on a very positive aspect. The manner in which the court said on its observation that the court will examine it only on the basis of law and constitution of the country. This shows that the Constitution has given us freedom of religious freedom under Article 25. Also, work related to his religious affairs is the freedom of Kaj, hopefully it will remain the same.
What did Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali say
He further stated that the court further said that the Waqf Properties notified should not be noted. Also, there should be Muslim members in the board. This observation has revealed that whenever the decision comes, there will be justice. Also, along with other religions, Muslims will have freedom of work in their religious affairs.
