Are you ready for a fun word puzzle challenge? Then our word quiz is just right for you!
The game is simple and fun! Your goal is to guess a five-letter word every day. It can be a verb in any form, a noun in any case, or even an adjective/adverb. Even the plural is allowed. You write umlauts, just like in everyday life, with a letter (Ö, Ü or Ä).
In the “Word Quiz” you will see six lines in which you can enter a five-letter word. The first word on the top line helps you get initial clues about the letters of the word you are looking for.
Choose a word without duplicate letters to try out as many letters as possible. Then click “Enter”, but think carefully about your choice because you can’t undo it.
Now pay attention to the color code: If you guessed a letter correctly and even put it in the right place in the word, it will be highlighted in green. If the letter is correct but in the wrong place, its background turns orange. If it doesn’t appear in the word you’re looking for, it turns gray. Additionally, this information about the colors is also stored in the keyboard shown above.
Here are a few more brain teasers and quizzes:
Make a second word based on the clues and remaining letters. This will bring you closer to the solution you are looking for. You have a total of six attempts to guess the word of the day. Once you have finished the game, you will be shown your statistics. This shows you how often you have played and won.

The idea for this funny letter puzzle comes from Josh Wardle, a Brit living in New York. Wardle developed the game with his partner in 2021 and published it under the name “Wordle”. After he published the game, it quickly spread across social media and is now played by millions of enthusiastic fans. At the end of January 2022, the renowned American daily newspaper “New York Times” acquired the “Wordle” brand. The game – like our “word quiz” – can be played there free of charge.
